“Each day, about 2000 U.S. workers sustain a job-related eye injury that requires medical treatment. About one-third of the injuries are treated in hospital emergency departments, and more than 100 of these injuries result in one or more days away from work.” (Source: CDC)
Although these numbers may not seem alarming, they are significant enough for companies like Presco to take every precaution necessary to keep our employees safe and out of harm’s way. In doing so, we are constantly brainstorming new and effective strategies to reduce potential threats. Needless to say, it didn’t take us long to realize that by providing employees with personalized prescription safety glasses, we were mitigating potential risks to individuals who would benefit from it most.
“It’s pretty awesome to know that I don’t have to pay for prescription safety glasses out of pocket because Presco cares enough to cover the cost for me.”-Chris Ball, Presco Employee.
Our goal is always to improve and enrich the lives of each of our employees, and our reach extends out much further than safety glasses. At Presco, we are regularly implementing new processes and programs to support our employees and their families. Just a few of the advantages of becoming a “Presconian” include:
- An on-site family health care center
- Weekly groceries for the whole family
- Back to school supplies
- Free on-site education in financial freedom
One of our long-standing mottos is to make Presco “A little bit better, every day,” and that begins and ends with our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our employees and their families.
