California added the plasticizer DINP to their Prop 65 list in December 2013. Since that time, we as vinyl manufacturers have been responding by giving our customers plasticizer options. DOTP has been the most popular non ortho-phthalate option. It seems as though the market is now responding by the recent news from BASF.
Is this move by BASF proof that negative press and CA Proposition 65 attacks on ortho-phthalates are truly making an impact on the market?
